On July 10th, 2010, your BHRG Flatliners will be facing off against the Omaha Rollergirls for the first time in history. Flatliners have been training hard to take on the higher ranked Omaha skaters, and it is sure to be one of the Flatliners’s toughest bouts of the year. But before we can go toestop-to-toestop against Omaha, we need to get there. Unfortunately, getting 16 rollergirls all the way to Omaha isn’t cheap. Nothing in roller derby is cheap. Each skater spends hundreds of dollars each year just to play the sport they love to play – the sport you love to watch.
That is why we need the help of you, our fans, to send the Flatliners off to Omaha to kick some ass. We need to raise an additional $400 to cover the cost of travel (two van rentals plus gas). If everyone just gave a couple of dollars, we could easily raise that amount. Show your support for the Flatliners so they can show their love for their fans… by coming home with an upset win.
