BHRG Season Opener: B-Cup Roller Derby Tournament Challenge

BHRG is kicking off the season! The B-cup will feature 8 area teams fighting it out for the prestigious B-cup.

Who are these ladies? They’re the B-teams from your favorite leagues

• Bloomington’s own Bleeding Heartland RollerGirls
• Naptown Roller Girls from Indianapolis, Indiana
• Black-N-Bluegrass out of Highland Heights, Kentucky
• Brewcity Bruisers from Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Circle City Derby Girls from Indianapolis, Indiana
• Grand Raggidy Roller Girls out of Grand Rapids, Michigan
• NEO Roller Derby from Akron, Ohio
• Killamazoo Derby Darlins from Kalamazoo, Michigan

Tickets are $10 for the Championship Round (Jr. Roller Derby and Game 7) or $20 for the entire Tournament. Ticket prices increase $5 at the door. B-cup is also included on the BHRG season pass which is available for $55 (That’s a whole season of Derby for $55!!) Tickets are available from your favorite rollergirl, through Brownpapertickets.com, or in town at Bloomingfoods, Sunrise Box Office, Rolling Thunder Fun Factory and Vintage Phoenix Comics.

Merchandise will be available all day and everyone’s favorite hoppy adult brew will be available during the Championship Round.

Saturday, February 4th:

Round 1

• 8:00am: Game 1 (Naptown vs. Black N Bluegrass)
• 9:30am: Game 2 (Brew City vs. Circle City)
• 11:00am: Game 3 (Grand Raggidy vs. NEO)
• 12:30pm: Game 4 (BHRG vs. Killamazoo)

Round 2

• 2:00pm: Game 5 (Winner of game 2 vs. winner of game 3)
• 3:30pm: Game 6 (Winner of game 1 vs. winner of game 4)
• 5:00pm: Break

Championship round (doors open at 5:30)

• 6:00pm: Junior derby exhibition bout
• 7:00pm: Game 7 (Winner of game 5 vs. winner of game 6)

Sunday, February 5th:

Activities this day are closed to public participation and will occur at BHRG’s practice facility.

• 9:00am: Game 8 (Loser of game 1 vs. Loser of game 4)
• 10:30am: Game 9 (Loser of game 2 vs. Loser of game 3)
• 12:00pm: Game 10 Championship bout for 3rd and 4th place (Losers of game 5 vs. losers of game 6)
• 1:30pm: Game 11 Championship bout for 5th and 6th place (Winner of game 8 vs. winner of game 9)
