When you look at the sweet, innocent face of Penny, the last thing to cross your mind is a bad Penny. She grew up on a farm, always in a dress and braids, and always getting too rough with the boys. Penny was told, since she was a little girl, that her life is and always will be the farm. She thought that milking cows and being a farmer’s wife was her dream, until one day she strapped on a pair of metal skates at the school yard. Penny had the overwhelming desire to hit people as she skated around the playground. And then, Penny had a notion, that there was more to life than milk buckets and farm hands. She had the desire to see what was beyond the split rail fence. As soon as she turned 18, she packed her skates and ventured out to see what was on the other side of the corn field.
Today you can find her on the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls Roller Derby Track, still in skirts, but a bit shorter, and still on skates, but a lot faster. Penny is a farm girl by birth, but a Farm Fatale for life. Her family was right; her life would always be the farm. She’s the good Penny gone bad, she is Penny Hostile.
