YOU! At Upland’s RADFEST on June 5th!
Put the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls to work as we volunteer at Upland’s Radfest in the name of good times and charity!

Come try beers from across the region, gorge on Upland eats, rock out to live bands, and enjoy a beautiful summer day outdoors! The taps open at 5pm and don’t stop ’til 11!

Remember that ridiculous costume you wore last Halloween and thought you’d never put on again? It’s time has come! To kick the radness level up a notch, Upland is giving a free meal ticket to anyone dressed RAD, and the person dressed most RAD of all will win a $200 gift card to Upland’s Bloomington Tap Room, not to mention vicious bragging rights.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to our 2010 primary charity, Middle Way House.

Tickets are $30 day of or $25 in advance. Available at Upland’s Bloomington Tap Room, Indy Tasting Room, and online at www.buskirkchumley.org.

Well, here’s an answer:  bring any item from the Girls Incorporated of Monroe County’s wish list to our June 12th bout!  Your donation will earn you BHRG Bucks, good at our merchandise table, and the appreciation of girls and rollergirls right here at home.  Wish list items include things like markers, pencils and pencil sharpeners, stickers, tape, and more!  Girls Inc. is counting on your help to make their summer programs a success!

On to the bout.  Hot on the wheels of their recent win, The Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls Flatliners will be taking on the fastest things to come out of Louisville, and we’re not talking ponies!   The Derby City Roller Girls (DCRG) of Louisville will be visiting Bloomington for a challenge they’re not soon to forget.  This will be Derby City’s fifth interleague bout this season, and they’ve shown some solid wins.  However, your Flatliners are just warming up; with only three games and our first tournament behind us, we’ve got plenty of steam and smarts to let loose on the track.  And we need BHRG fans to pack the stands at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center to cheer us on!

The game will take place at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center at 1700 W. Bloomfield Rd., on Saturday, June 12.  Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the bout starts at 7:00.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Kid’s tickets are $5, children under 4 get in free.  Tickets are available at all Bloomingfoods locations, Rolling Thunder Fun Factory, Sunrise Box Office, Twin Lakes Recreation Center, Vintage Phoenix Comics, and brownpapertickets.com (search BHRG).  Or, just ask your favorite rollergirl to hook you up!

Girls Incorporated is a national youth organization dedicated to helping girls become strong, smart, and bold.  They host a variety of programs aimed at tutoring, developing talents, and improving life skills of girls ages 6-18.  To find out how you can get involved as a volunteer or donor, visit www.girlsinc-monroe.org.
