Volunteer Coordinator: Haggis (volunteer [at] bleedingheartlandrollergirls.com)
From ticket takers and concessions, to security and scorekeepers, to refs, EMTs, and sound engineers – it’s an enormous undertaking. Men and women, young or old – if you are interested in lending your time and talents to our organization, the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls want YOU!

Volunteer positions
Roadie – Pre-bout duties: tapes track, hangs signs, sets up tables, moves chairs, etc. Done in time to sit in the stands for the bout. Post-bout duties: tears up track and cleans up.
Merchandise – Sells BHRG and team merchandise, handles money.
Front Door Staff – Sells tickets, handles money, counts money, handles will-call tickets, attaches bracelets, hands out programs and promotional items, answers derby questions from the public, keeps head count for Fire Marshal, keeps ticket count for league records. Folks in hole do not see the first half of the bout, generally. Front Door Staff do not deal with complaints, that’s Haggis’s job.
Non-Skating Officials
Stat Brats- Watches bout and records individual and team statistics for the league. You must have an astounding eye for detail. We are also looking for a leader to run the stats operations. This person must be proficient in Excel. Best seats in the house.
Penalty Trackers – Who writes down the penalties that the refs keep shouting out? That’s you. You are right next to all of the action, informing the refs who is about to go to the penalty box. Whether on the inside track or as an outside relay, you truly have suicide seating (or standing rather).
Skilled Volunteers
Audio, Video, Photo – We are always in need of skilled photographers, videographers, and audio technicians. How about joining the coolest AV Club around?
Goons – It is rare that things get out of hand at a derby match, but considering alcohol is available, we don’t like to take our chances. We could use some muscle standing around making sure no one gets the wrong idea. No hotheads, though.
