Sept 12, 2009The Twin Lakes Recreational Center saw a great inaugural bout as the Slaughter Scouts squeezed by the Farm Fatales in the last 30 seconds of the bout to win by two points, 87-85. For the Scouts, Kaka Caliente gained lead jammer 7 out of 11 jams for 50 points, including the last 14 unanswered to take back the W.

Party Foul threw in 18 points in 7 jams for good measure, with a point here and there for other jammers (8 total jammers used by the Scouts).

Snide Piper had one of the best scoring effects as a blocker for the Scouts, but was also the most penalized player of the evening with a total of 11 (7 minor 4 major).

For the Farm Fatales, 6 jammers skated, but it was the core of three who did most of the scoring, led by rookie Zero Dark with 26 points in 8 jams, followed by Terror d’Bits and Unicoroner, each with 24 points in 9 jams.

Top Blocker Effect for the Fatales goes to TFO. 43 points for her team and 19 against when she was on the track. Too bad for the Fatales she didn’t play the last 2 jams.

X Static’s pick for MVPOTKC (Most Valuable Player Other Than Kaka Caliente) of the game goes to Epic Brendemic for trying to make sure the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls didn’t literally murder each other out there in front of over 500 witnesses capable of testifying.
