On Saturday July 10th, the Bloomington, IN Bleeding Heartland Flatliners will stealthily creep across three state lines to unleash their roller-ninja skillz on the Omaha Rollergirls All-Stars in their next bout, “Crouching Pivot Hidden Jammer”.
This will be the first time Bleeding Heartland has ever faced off against the November 2008 WFTDA-sanctioned Omaha Rollergirls. Let the rivalry begin!
In addition, neither the BHRG Code Blue Assassins, nor the Flatliners have ever traveled so far for an away bout. This marks a great opportunity for the league to branch out and the players to broaden their game play experience. It’s also a great chance for you, the fans, to become involved! It’s not uncommon for the roller girls to foot a lot (if not all) of the bill for their Away bouts. Seeing as this is a doozy of a trip, if you would like to help support the team with a donation as they make the 20-hour round-trip journey to and from Omaha, you may contact media@bleedingheartlandrollergirls.com.
Doors open at 6:45pm at SkateDaze in Omaha (3616 S 132nd St) and game begins promptly at 7:30pm.

On July 10th, 2010, your BHRG Flatliners will be facing off against the Omaha Rollergirls for the first time in history. Flatliners have been training hard to take on the higher ranked Omaha skaters, and it is sure to be one of the Flatliners’s toughest bouts of the year. But before we can go toestop-to-toestop against Omaha, we need to get there. Unfortunately, getting 16 rollergirls all the way to Omaha isn’t cheap. Nothing in roller derby is cheap. Each skater spends hundreds of dollars each year just to play the sport they love to play – the sport you love to watch.
That is why we need the help of you, our fans, to send the Flatliners off to Omaha to kick some ass. We need to raise an additional $400 to cover the cost of travel (two van rentals plus gas). If everyone just gave a couple of dollars, we could easily raise that amount. Show your support for the Flatliners so they can show their love for their fans… by coming home with an upset win.

Any additional funds raised will go to sending BHRG skaters to other bouts around the country. We have bouts coming up in Iowa and Tennessee… and that’s just this season.
Watch roller derby girls get red, white and bruised at the Circle City Socialites’ next bout, “Scars and Stripes Forever.” Join us on July 3 at the Forum at Fishers to celebrate life, liberty, and the pursuit of roller derby, starting at 6 p.m. with a short bout featuring the Indianapolis Junior Roller Derby league. At 7 p.m., the Socialites will battle the Bleeding Heartland Code Blue Assassins from Bloomington, Ind. Halftime entertainment will showcase the freestyle skills of the Naptown Skate Nation. Suds for sale from the Upland Brewing Company. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Indianapolis nonprofit Second Starts, which provides household goods for needy families.
